came across this by chance via youtube autoplay— it was so beautiful i had to stop doing work and find out what piece it was... hours of practice later, i can play it! i like this performance because it's a little slower and deliberate-feeling. the voicing is also so good, especially ~3:05 where the middle voice is brought out.

i love the instrumentation in his songs! just listen to the guitar riffs— like how do you come up with that?! also, adding acoustic instruments like piano and strings in rock music always hits (˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶)

probably one of my favourite conan songs ever, (along with house that always rains.) this is a song that builds intensity until the tension finally breaks. i often come back to this one.

after learning piano for around a decade, i decided to try learning cello. since i wasn't very familiar with cello repertoire at the time, i did some exploring and this is the first cello sonta i fell in love with. my favourite aspects are that the piano and cello are equally interesting in their own right, but also complement each other so well it's almost conversational. also, i like how beethoven makes use of the cello's expansive range. unfortunately, i'm currently unable to play this piece, but i hope to in the future!
